Dmitri Stakhov

Dmitri Stakhov, born in 1954, studied Psychology at the Moscow University. He worked as an ambulance man and in the psychiatry and did his military service in an armoured division. Stakhov has written several film scripts based upon his own and Chekhov’s works; he is editior-in-chief of a political weekly in Moscow and the author of a number of novels. His novel “Stukatsh” was short-listed for the Russian Booker Prize and has been published by Gallimard in France.
