Mikhail Gorbachev
Mikhail Gorbachev, former Secretary General of the Soviet Communist Party and first president of the USSR, who by putting an end to the Cold War and Communist ideology changed the world, is now committed to the protection of the earth. He recalls his childhood in the untouched nature of the Northern Caucasus, passes in review his long political career and how  the influence of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster on his thinking made him found the „International Green Cross“. In view of the economic, social and ecological crisis he calls for a renewal of values and collective conscience, for a global perestroika of the 21st century.
